The IMA Inland Empire Chapter Accounting Scholarship


The chapter is proud to offer this scholarship opportunity to it's student members. Scholarships are awarded on an annual basis.

Nominations for the scholarship award are accepted from January to April of each year. The scholarships are then presented during May's monthly meeting.

Award:
Scholarships of at least $250 (to be determined by the scholarship committee) will be awarded by the Inland Empire Chapter of the Institute of Management Accountants.

Purpose of Scholarship: To assist an undergraduate or graduate student studying in the accounting or finance field with tuition expenses.

Eligibility: All applicants will be considered equally with no bias to race, creed or background and will be judged independently on the basis of the applicants’ ability to meet the criteria as outlined in this document. If for some reason a selected individual declines his/her award or becomes ineligible an alternate applicant will be selected to receive the award. Two alternates will be selected in the event this circumstance takes place.
  • The scholarship is available to all IMA Inland Empire Chapter Student Members.
  • The membership number must be included on the application (Join here).
  • Applicant must be a college sophomore, junior, senior, or qualified graduate student for the upcoming academic year.
  • Eligible applicants will be all students who are or will attend a college or university located in the Inland Empire and fully accredited by a regional accrediting agency.
  • Applicants must be carrying at least 12 semester units (or equivalent) and have completed at least 16 semester units (or equivalent) in accounting and/or finance courses.
  • Applicants will have a cumulative GPA of not less than 3.0.
  • The applicant must have the expressed intent of pursuing a career in management accounting or financial management.
